Founders Nemesis 2009
“Every bath diabolically brewed to decimate ordinary-average-run-of-the-mill tasting beer”
The label nailed it. This beer is eccentric, aggressive, and awesome. Described as a Maple Bourbon barrel aged wheat wine. Very reminiscent of a barley wine. Pours a partly cloudy bright orange red with yeast occupying the bottom glass. A very thin head arises and diminishes quickly. I have a clogged nose so my sense of smell is a bit off. However, the alcohol immediately breaks through the stuffiness, awaking the senses. Get whiffs of oak and vanilla as well. This beer may clear my cold!
Wow this is special stuff. Strong alcohol presence, definitely not shying away from the bourbon. Sweet caramel coated candy, maple, and fruity hops. Sticky sugary sweet with traces of vanilla wood. Very warming as I exhale alcohol through my nostrils. This is surprisingly very easy to drink. I finished way too quickly and crave another. Give this baby some time to mature and I’d expect amazing results.

Why nothing about beer olympics yet man? I’ve been looking forward to reading about it!
